The primary purpose of the Hopedale Youth Basketball League is to provide children an opportunity to learn the game of basketball in an enjoyable, competitive and safe environment suitable to the individual’s abilities and interests.  We offer both in-town and travel leagues for children in the Hopedale Community.  The program seeks to promote athletic excellence, good sportsmanship and citizenship, fair play, fun, and a balance between individual and team achievement, all within the context of competitive basketball.

Travel Leagues generally start in October and continue through March the following year.  Participation is limited to Hopedale children (residents and school choice) in the fourth through eigth grades and will be selected by the Board of Directors through tryouts in early October.  The travel program competes against other schools in the Central Massachusetts Youth Basketball League (CMYBL). In addition, our teams participate in two Tournaments each year.  Look for information on our website as well as information distributed by the school early in the school year.

In town Leagues generally start in December for children in Kindergarten through Sixth grades and are open to all Hopedale children.  Registration information will be sent home with your child and also be posted on this website.
